- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
- If there are any pin bones, use tweezers to remove them.
- Place the fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- In a small bowl, combine the red chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper.
- Mix well to create the spice rub.
- Drizzle the olive oil evenly over the salmon fillets.
- Rub the spice mixture onto the top side of each fillet.
- Make sure the fillets are well coated with the spices.
- Sprinkle the lemon juice over the spiced salmon fillets.
- The acidity will help enhance the flavors.
- Place the baking sheet with the salmon in the preheated oven.
- Bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- The exact cooking time will depend on the thickness of your fillets.
- Once the salmon is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a minute or two.

- Garnish with chopped cilantro or parsley.
- Serve the spicy baked salmon alongside your favorite side dishes, such as steamed vegetables, rice, or a salad.
- Remember that the level of spiciness can be adjusted to your preference by increasing or decreasing the amount of red chili powder.
